Giveaway with Katie from The Little Things

UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who entered! The winner was Alessandra Lalla. Enjoy your prize! : )

Today's giveaway is with Katie from The Little Things. I instantly fell in love with her shop, as she makes jewelry and trinkets featuring some of my favorite things - cameras, foxes, owls, mushrooms, gnomes, and more!
Here's a little about Katie!

"My name is Katie, and I am a 23 year old student currently living in the Washington, D.C. area.
Two years ago, I made the spontaneous decision to move to Portland, Oregon with a group of my closest my friends. While I was there I discovered this huge world of amazing artists and handmade crafts that I had never known about. At the time, my work space was constantly covered with cute little things I had made that had just been accumulating with nowhere to go. That's when I discovered that I could share all these things with everyone!"

That's extra amazing, Katie, because I just started watching Portlandia. It is way goofier than I thought it was going to be! Anyway, the winner of the giveaway gets to pick their favorite item in Katie's shop! It's a difficult decision - I guess I would go with the fox earrings since I'm trying to start a fox collection, but everything is super adorable!

On to the giveaway! I had a rafflecoptor widget up, but I'm not totally sure it's working, so let's just do this (leave a separate comment for each entry, please):

1. Mandatory entry - Like The Little Things on Facebook
2. Visit The Little Things on Etsy and tell me what you would pick if you won!
3. While you're on Katie's Etsy page, favorite it!
3. Like Lovely Llorys on Facebook
4. Follow Lovely Llorys on Twitter
5. Follow Lovely Llorys on GFC (right side of this page)

Good luck! (Open worldwide, ends 1/19 at 11:59pm, I will contact winner)

Giveaway // Treats and Eats Christmas Ornament!

Ho ho ho, another giveaway! (Don't forget, the Telestrations giveaway is still open). Tis the season of giving! This is an exciting one for me because the talented artist is my friend from college, Angela. We are both Angelas! We went to Ferris State University for Music Industry Management (in case you were curious), and as soon as I found out about her craft on-the-side, I asked to partner up with her for this giveaway. Thankfully, she said yes!
Angela makes the most darling little trinkets and jewelry that look like treats - you know, lattes, cinnamon rolls, cookies, pies, etc.! She has a passion for food, so combined with her creativity she "decided to offer mini food trinkets to the masses." Her Etsy shop is so so cool, and Angela is being extra awesome and giving you 15% off with the order code LOVELYLLORYS. Take advantage! Since Christmas is on everyone's mind, Angela is giving one of my readers her Christmas Tree Cookie Ornament to deck the tree with! Aren't they adorable? This girl's got some mean "mini-making" talent.

On to the giveaway! To enter, you must visit Angela's etsy shop, Treats and Eats, and leave me a comment sharing your favorite item. Then use the rafflecopter widget to officially submit that entry. There are more ways to enter as well if you want to increase your chances. You have until next Wednesday at midnight, and you must have a mailing address in the U.S. or Canada. Good luck!

Giveaway // Telestrations!

Hello my lovely readers! I am really excited about this giveaway! One of you will win a Telestrations game - the fun new party game from USAopoly. They sent me the game to try out, and we finally got to this weekend, being home for the holiday. I can't wait to play it with more people this holiday season. The goal of the game is to have fun and laugh a lot, and we sure did! Here's how you play:

Telestrations is for 4-8 people, and we had 6. I think the more the merrier (and increased fun)! Anyway, everyone gets their own booklet, dry erase marker, and eraser to start.

Then everyone gets a card and you decide if you'd like to do "This Side" or "That Side." We did a couple of each. Then someone rolls the die and everyone must draw the corresponding number's secret word. In that round I had to draw Old School, it was so difficult!

So you write the secret word on the first page, and then draw it on the second page. The you pass the whole book to the person on your left. They look at your drawing and write their guess of what it is. Then the whole book is passed to the left again.

Then the next person looks at the previous guess and draws their best interpretation of it, so the above drawing was for the guess "falling in love."

This goes back and forth until you get your book back. Then it's time to see how your initial secret word has progressed! And time for laughs.

We were all dying here because Mr. Hall's word was boxer and he drew a boxer. I guessed boxer, Andrew drew a pretty great match, but then Andrew's dad thought the gloves in the match were hearts and guessed "Falling In Love!" So somehow we went from "Boxer" to "True Love." So silly! (And Andrew's dad didn't even want to play, looks like he was having fun there!)

You can choose to score competitively or friendly. We did friendly, so you awarded one point for your favorite drawing and one for your favorite guess, and you also got one for yourself if your secret word matched the final guess - I think that only happened about 5 times out of our three rounds!

My favorite things about Telestrations were how silly the progression could be from the initial word to the final guess, the fact that they have dry erase booklets instead of wasting a bunch of paper, and that it was simple to set up and play and way fun! Thanks, Telestrations for sharing!

Here's a video that Telestrations asked me to share, and it seems qu accurate!
Now onto the giveaway! I have to limit it to the United States only. I hope you will enter! Just think of all the fun you could bring to your family's holiday get-togethers: ) a Rafflecopter giveaway

Giveaway with the Shop at Pooh's Corner!

UPDATE: The winner of the giveaway is Breonna. Thank you to everyone for entering and keep Francesca's shop in mind as your being your Christmas shopping!!

With Halloween behind us, everyone has immediately begun focusing on the holiday season! I love Halloween, don't get me wrong, but I am celebrating a new month and another holiday with a giveaway! Francesca from The Shop at Pooh's Corner is offering up a pack of 8 place cards for your Thanksgiving dinner! So adorable! Especially if you can't contribute to the cooking, you'll be able to supply your family with some table decor. To enter, scroll down and leave a comment telling me what your favorite item in Francesca's shop is and make sure to let me know you've done that in the widget! Good luck!

A little about Francesca:
"I'm a short and spunky, Puerto Rican/Italian, married mom of one with a degree in English language and editing. I love to run, dance, play board games, watch movies, blog, and read. I enjoy word search puzzles and other word games. And I'm a Mormon!

I LOVE shopping at thrift stores. I decided to open a shop selling vintage items after hosting a giveaway on my blog for another children's vintage shop. I thought, "I can do that!" I've always wanted to open an Etsy shop, but I'm not very crafty, so I was excited to find out vintage shops were allowed.

I also wanted to sell some handmade items, since my mother-in-law got me a Cricut and I've always loved working with paper. So I make confetti, gift tags, and other paper goods, which are now taking over my shop.

The name of my shop is a play on the second Winnie-the-Pooh book by A.A. Milne: "The House at Pooh Corner." I chose it because Classic Pooh represents imagination, innocence, childhood, and a past era - all of which I hope you find in my shop."

Thanks, Francesca! Make sure to check out her shop for all your paper party needs and vintage items!

Now onto the giveaway!

Giveaway // October Native

**Update: The winner of the giveaway is Elise from Black Ant Beads. Thank you everyone for entering, and keep Beckie's shop in mind for Christmas gifts!!**

I can't think of a more perfect way to start off the beautiful month of October than with a giveaway! Beckie from October Native (how appropriate) is giving one of my readers a gorgeous button ring that she has created. Beckie's etsy shop is full of vintage and handmade items that were inspired by her grandfather's travels around the world. She has lots of treasures! This forest green button ring can be yours if you leave a comment telling me which item you like the most in her shop! There are a lot of other ways to win below!

First, a bit about Beckie!

"I am from Florida, born and raised, and I currently live in St. Petersburg. I was just blessed to be able to move into a house with my husband and cute little choweenie puppy, which is ever so peaceful compared to apartment living! I work part time as a companion for those with disabilities and I am a full time volunteer as a team leader for a non profit called Young Life Capernaum - a club for those with special needs. In the midst of all this I get to indulge in my crafty and eclectic obsessions with my etsy shop!

I started collecting vintage when I was a kid. My grandpa was a big traveler, going all over the world and bringing back amazing unique items. I loved to go to antique shops as a kid and look for notes in old books, imagining who those people were. I have always been fascinated by the fact that those notes were written by ordinary people, and that maybe one day my scribbles could have an impact on someone in the future. I love the timelessness that vintage items hold. I also love crafting - that excitement and challenge of working on a project and coming to the point when you've finished and it looks amazing! The feeling never gets old.

My shop stands out because I have vintage items that will have a new life, and I also have items that I have worked hard on bringing to life through my crafting. My shop's tagline is "Bringing Fragments in Time to Life."

Now onto the giveaway! Good luck everyone: )

A little about Heather - "After I graduated art school a year ago, I started taking work as a freelance illustrator/graphic designer. My Etsy store is a way to sell my art that's more independent and self-motivated, somewhere where I can create and sell whatever I'd like. I live in southern California, and I hope I never have to leave. It's the most beautiful place on Earth!"

Southern California is really beautiful! I bet she finds a ton of inspiration for her designs there. Thanks for letting me host this giveaway, Heather!

You have until Saturday at midnight to enter the giveaway, and I'm trying out a widget this time, so no comments necessary (although I'd love to hear what you have to say)! Good luck!
