Tuesday Treasures #4 / Pinterest Edition

this edition of tuesday treasures is inspired by things i found on pinterest that i want! have you bought anything you found on pinterest? i sure have!

this is like, the most beautiful camera i have ever seen. i found it on pinterest, then it led me to a blog that led me to another pinterest-esque site called the fancy, which then led me to 'fancy' a bunch of stuff before i finally found the link to this gorgeous camera. pretty sure this baby is real gold. i didn't even try to search for a price on the page i finally ended up on, so maybe i can shoot with it in my dreams.

i think this rug is absolutely hilarious! it's $35 on amazon, but i figure i can easily make this myself if i can find a plain doormat. so pumped about making this!

this is so adorable! it's a custom made portrait from Jordan Grace on flickr. i imagine she has an etsy maybe, but this is where pinterest took me. She makes the most amazing drawings, and there is even little paperdolls she created which i assume she made in the likeness of someone. want!!

so allegedly i can't actually buy this toaster. according to this article about cool toasters, this is given to owners in japan who bring their cars in for servicing or something. just like the actual van, i may never own this. they are for sale on ebay, but they are well over $200! damn!

this ring from etsy is crazy awesome because it is actually your fingerprint! or your significant other's? i think that would be a super cute way to order it. how the heck do people come up with this stuff? i love this, and for $89, it's possibly the second cheapest treasure this tuesday. 

i guess i should live in chicago, because the maker of this spectacular pillow describes the blasphemy of putting ketchup on your hotdog there (yeah, it's gross, i already knew that but whatever!) so even though it may be blasphemy for me to be eating a veggie dog, i will never put ketchup on it! for those of you who don't know, i loveeeeee mustard, and so i loveeeee this pillow, also from etsy. so silly. and $35. good, i was getting worried all of these things were in the hundreds or thousands of dollars today!

The Fancy

guys! have you heard of this website, the fancy? i found it earlier while i was working on my next tuesday treasures post, and i've been addicted since. it's the basic setup of pinterest, but i don't know, more artsy? better photography? more elite? not really sure, but it's neat-o. if you want to sign up, here is a referral link to do so. i think the main differences here are that the fancy shows bigger photos than pinterest, and that you are able to build up credits on the fancy to buy the things you see. you can find links to buy, and if you own it you can also sell yours. i don't really know how all that works because i've just been "fancying," but you should check it out! here are some fun things i found:

Tuesday Treasures #3

So I have been doing WAY too much spending lately on account of my upcoming trip to Croatia and Venice, Italy. I still have a few dresses with the tags on, and I'm seriously contemplating returning them because I am feeling some buyer's remorse. Hopefully I can get over it, because I really like them! 

Most of my treasures today are actually things that I've purchased for the trip. Enjoy!

This journal from Target, by Carolina Pad. (I couldn't find it on Target's website). I have gazed upon so many cute travel journals, but I couldn't beat this cute print for $6! I'm excited to record every moment of the vacation!

these sandals from h&m. i don't see them on the website anymore, but that's where i snatched this photo from the other day. wonder if that means they are all gone! i love the print and they are really comfy. i just have to be careful where i wear them so i don't get the fabric all dirty!

this dress from kohl's by elle! i call it my garden party dress. i wore it in this post. i love the fit and style, so, like, mad men. i don't really know, i've actually yet to watch that show! 

black and white film! it really turns out so beautiful using actual black and white film as opposed to just editing your photos afterwards. sometimes i don't load my film 100% correctly and only get like three shots on a roll, so i'm crossing my fingers now that luck is on my side this time!

oooooh! there is a fox in this mug! i love foxes now, so my collection needs to start somewhere! unfortunately i can't really justify the price of this one. like i mentioned last week, i love just about everything that modcloth has to offer in the kitchen department. i will probably just end up showing every single thing. ugh, want!

lastly, this is just amazing. i found it circulating on pinterest. turns out it was made by a talented etsy-ist, who else?. i wonder who owns this! for $250, i wish it could be me. i bet whoever this person is has the best dreams. check out this shop, they have some really cool things! people are so creative.

Okay, It's Never Too Late To Save a Blog, Right?

if i can't be interesting in real life, i can at least be interesting on the internet, right? and yes, there's facebook, but usually going on facebook makes me feel bad about myself, so i try to post only important things, like online petitions and the fact that pinterest removed this picture of an elephant because of "nudity." bogus, man!

anyway, i think i should blog because i'm not good at saying the things i mean out loud. plus, i want to remember what i did on this day, valentine's day, 2012 and all the days after. so far i have mostly just gotten mad at facebook posts even though i have a valentine. but some people just overdo it and i'm annoyed. i also made a pop up card, which is like, my new craft. i invested $25 in it so far, so at least all my friends and family can expect some sweet pop up cards if i don't end up selling any. idk, i think it could be a thing!

i have also been listening to the beatles allllll morning. because i love them. cliché, but it cannot be helped. HELP!

so here i sit. i'm flying to florida in three weeks with my honey pie and i just got my j. crew swimsuit. it's super cute and i've been sort of eating lighter to compensate for my pale skin. i don't want to be chunky AND pale. andrew and i are also planning to go to croatia with the rest of his family this june. i didn't know a lot about croatia until we talked about going there. it should be an amazing trip! and they are filming game of thrones there, so that makes it extra worth it.

this evening andrew and i are going to happy hour at mangiamo. they have the BEST happy hour and it's seven days a week, which is great because one of us is always working during it on the weekdays. with some exceptions like today! i can't wait for sangria and goat cheese dip. then i'm hoping to persuade him to take me out to coldstone for some love it size scoops. yum, muah, all you need is love.

bonus points if you can figure out how many times i inserted a beatles song up there; )
